After climbing the music charts and making his dreams come true, his life took a turn that he’d never expected, causing him to lose it all. Now Seth is determined to do whatever it takes to turn his life around, even if that includes doing the one thing he swore he’d never do. After giving up music and the career he spent much of his life building, Seth embarks on a journey to get back what he cherishes the most his daughter, Faith.
Trista Tilman, a single mother, finds shelter on the road as she and her daughter try to escape her abusive fiancé, Randall Tuck. As Trista struggles to repair her damaged relationship with her daughter, Tuck begins to close in on them.
Along the way, Seth and Trista encounter a storm that threatens their one chance at getting their lives back. Forced to travel together, they discover that success lies not just at the hands of fate but also within each other, two unlikely travelers fighting to survive not only the storm but also the demons of their past.
As the road takes them deeper and deeper into the storm, Seth and Trista find themselves face-to-face with their worst fears. Can love help them pick up the broken pieces of their lives?
Losing Faith is the first book in the Seth & Trista series. It precedes The Greatest Gift and The Final Encore.

Losing Faith Contemporary Romance Novel Seth Trista Book 1 edition by Jeremy Asher Romance eBooks
I don't know what I expected when I first picked up this book, but I assure you, it wasn't anything even close to what I had first imagined. Jeremy Asher brought it all: He mad me feel every single gut wrenching emotion that these characters were going through on their long journey together. I felt their sadness, their hopelessness, their fears, and their triumphs. This is not just a story of sadness though, it's way more than that. It's a story of 4 very different people coming together, people who are grasping onto one another for support and finding true inspirational hope.Frank Goodman being the older, and wiser of all of them. He has the patience of Job, and the wisdom to prevail through it all. He always seemed to be the calm in the storm, and just happened to be wherever he was needed at the time.
Seth Storm was a man so full of guilt over his wife's untimely death. A guilt that ran so deep, that made him sort of lose his way for awhile. After his wife died he started drinking, until he lost it all, including his precious daughter and his music career, when he finally hit rock bottom. He knows he needs to get his life back on track again, so the first thing he does is voluntarily turn himself into a rehab facility. Now that's he made it through months of rehab, his focus is on reclaiming his daughter, with hopes that maybe one day soon... he'll even be able to reclaim his life in the music business once again.
Trista lost her husband, who was the love of her life, a little over 9 years ago. She was left all alone to raise her small daughter, and she admits to making some pretty bad mistakes along the way. But none of those mistakes were as bad as the one she made 2 years ago, when she ended up getting mixed up up a abusive and dangerous man called Tuck. After suffering a few years of his abuse, she decides to pack and move her and her teenage daughter, Savannah, from Nashville to Illinois. She drugs Tuck that night, hoping he'll be out long enough to get a good head start. But Tuck has warned her, he'd find her and her daughter and kill them if she ever tried to leave him. Trista has no doubt that Tuck meant every every word of that threat. She can't let her guard down, and continues to look over her shoulder with every slow mile that passes.
But none of these people ever thought they'd end up in the terrible situations they find themselves in, especially when a major blizzard hits and all flights out were canceled. There are several unexpected twists and turns in this story, some that that will surly have you sitting on the edge of your seats, and other tie ends that you will never see coming.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. This is the first time I've read anything by this author, but I can tell you right now, Jeremy Asher has just found himself a new fan.

Losing Faith Contemporary Romance Novel Seth Trista Book 1 edition by Jeremy Asher Romance eBooks Reviews
Seth was a country music star, but a string of events had him tumbling from the top for his career and resulted in him losing his daughter. Now he is desperately trying to make it to a court case to get her back only one of the worst storms the country has seen is slowing her journey right down.
Trisha has made the decision to leave her controlling and abusive partner and whisk her teen daughter back to her home town to her mother, the storm is stopping her fast getaway.
Frank is the saviour of the day when he offers a ride to Seth, Trisha and her daughter.
The journey is slow and the group seem to get tested at every turn as they make there way home.
I found this story ok. I wasn't drawn in to the point that I couldn't put it down, I did get a little bored with it and skimmed a few chapters. The characters were likeable but I didn't love them. Something was lacking overall that stop this from being a great story.
This was the first book that I've read from this author but I'm certain that it will not be my last. It's not often that you read such a heart warming story that is written by a man. Losing Faith is a heartwarming feel good story with heartache, abuse, and forgiveness.
Seth Storm had it all, a promising career as one of the best up and coming country music singers, a wife that he loved more than life itself and a daughter that he adored. But after one tragic accident, he lost it all. He walked away from his career and turned to the bottle after he lost his wife which lead to him losing his daughter, Faith as well. Now broke but clean and sober, all he wants in life is to have Faith back but nothing is going his way. One of the worse storms in the 10 years has hit Tennessee and canceled all flights out and to make matters worse, the last car was just rented out to the man in front of him in line. This is his second and last chance that he has to prove that he can take care of Faith as she deserves to be raised. He has to get out of Nashville and back to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Trista has to get out of town with her 15 year old daughter fast. She's finally done what she should have done a long time ago and that is to leave the abusive relationship that she's in but with the impending storm, all flights are canceled out of Tennessee and now she and Savannah are driving to New Haven, Indiana in a beat up car that has seen better ways. With an abusive ex-fiancé hot on their trail and a teenager that doesn't want to leave her friends or her boyfriend, this trip isn't going to be an easy one.
Fate steps in and lends a hand when all seems lost but again nothing is ever as easy as it seems. I loved the characters in this story. I felt for Seth and all that he had gone through and can understand why he blamed himself even though not all that had happened was his fault. The relationship between Trista and Savannah, while rocky at times, was one that anyone with teenagers could relate to.
And then there is Frank. His character was amazing. He always seemed to know what to say to help with the situation at hand. The plot twist at the end really through me for a loop and made me cry as things come back full circle. The epilogue was perfect and gave closer for everyone and left me happy tears.
This was an okay story with one great character, Frank, all the rest were mediocre.
Seth's character was tiresome. It appeared to me he had a tough time doing the right thing to help others, thinking only of himself. And who in their right mind would sing a song about his wife's horrible death as a special song for a bride and groom at their reception. Again, too consumed with self and his own grief.
Trista had a problem being honest to the two men who rescued her and her daughter from a broken down car. She should have clued them in to the danger she was placing them in.
The story moved much too slowly for my tastes and there was repetition throughout.
Personally, I cannot recommend this book but please take my review with a grain of salt. Not everyone feels about it as I do.
